Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was drafted into the NBA in 1969 as the 1st pick to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Lakers required Kareem in 1975 in a trade. In his career he won 6 NBA finals and earned two final MVPs, he became a 6 time league MVP, a 19 time NBA all star, he was a 15 time all NBA team, 11 time all defensive team, he earned rookie of the year and was on the rookie first team, 2 time NBA scoring champion, 4 time NBA block leader, lead the NBA in rebounds one season, and the all time leading scorer for NBA. He is the all time leading scorer for the Bucks. He holds the single season record for rebounds standing at 1,111. His hook shot was a reliable and feared offensive weapon and contributed to his high lifetime field goal percentage of 0.559. He was the last player to have 4,000or more PRA (points, rebounds, assists) in a single season.  In his career he averaged 24.6 ppg, 11.2 rpg, and 2.5 bpg. In his career he totaled for 38,387 points which in the NBA record, 17,440 rebounds, and 3,189 blocks in his career. His number 33 was retired by the Lakers, he made the NBA's 35th and 50th anniversary teams, and named one of the 50 greatest players of all time in 1996.he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on May 15, 1995.
